Your responsibilities
- Take on the responsibility of functional safety management in accordance with ISO 13849 and IEC 61508 standards
- Lead product development efforts by defining and conducting safety risk assessments, proposing safety concepts and architectures, and drafting clear safety requirements
- Serve as the final assessor for safety concepts and documents, and liaise with notified bodies
- Fulfill the role of safety architect, ensuring that concepts are safeguarded with certifiable safety architectures
- Collaborate with other Safety Managers to develop global safety concepts spanning various robotics fields
- Establish connections between safety considerations from hardware to software and promote a culture of knowledge sharing within the team
- Several years (5+) of experience in mobile robotics, working as a Functional Safety Manager for product development (acc. to ISO 13849 and IEC 61508)
- Sound knowledge of functional safety methodologies and the robotics industry
- Experience in risk & hazard analysis, creation, maintaining, and reviewing work products according to relevant standards (ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13849)
- Able to provide technical advice on safety certification and compliance (acc. to ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13849)
- Experience on perform and lead risk & hazard analysis (acc. to ISO 12100)
- Experience in safety audits of AMR & AMMR installations on site
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Completed master's degree in a relevant field is required, ideally complemented by a PhD
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German beneficial
- Current work permits valid in Germany
