Become a part of the Institute for Medical Systems Biology and the bAIome Center for Biomedical AI ( baiome.org ) to complement our vibrant and enthusiastic team of machine learning experts.
The main tasks include the development of novel machine and deep learning algorithms to understand, predict and treat diseases. Using multimodal genomic, image and patient data combined with graph, transformer and diffusion models, you will help us understand and treat immune-related diseases. Together with clinical experts, you will translate your findings into targeted applications.
We're looking forward to that
- Completed academic university degree in computer science, bioinformatics or equivalent skills and experience
- Good understanding of machine and deep learning and relevant libraries (e.g. Pytorch or Tensorflow, Keras, scikit-learn, OpenCV)
- Proficiency in Python, Linux and HPC environments
- Good communication skills to interact with collaborators in an interdisciplinary environment, from machine learning researchers to pathologists or medical students
- Knowledge of biology and medicine is an advantage
- High motivation and interest in working in an interdisciplinary team that includes machine learning, bioinformatics and medicine
- Fluent English skills
Immunity status
Hiring is only possible if there is complete proof of immunization or immunity in accordance with the applicable (legal and medical) requirements against the measles virus. This must be proven before the start of employment by providing appropriate documents (e.g. vaccination certificate).
